Mental Health Status Among Freshmen in a Medical College

Abstract

Objective To explore mental health status of medical college freshmen and to provide evidence for mental health improvement. Methods Totally 3 372 students were chosen from a medical college and asked to complete SCL-90. Results The rate of the students who may have mental problems was 38.91% and 3.02% of the students had evident symptoms. The positive rate of compulsive was highest,then was personal sensitivity and depression.Conclusion The mental health status of college students should not be neglected. The medico's mental health education should be strengthened.
