Thoughts on the Rational Combination of Forest Management and Social Forestry

This paper reviewed the development course of Forest Management and analyzed the main problems existing in traditional forest management,which has not formed a complete theoretical system yet,adopted a mechanical way to treat the complicated and dynamic forest ecological system and been lack of community involvement.This paper has summed up the generation process of the social forestry and analyzed the characteristic of the social forestry and suitability in our country.Finally,the paper proposed the method of combining the forest management and social forestry organically,that is,theoretical integration,reform of the forest management investigation method in a way of the social forestry,improving the establishment of the forest management plan with the social forestry participatory method.
