Abstract

Theories on forest management are the guide of forest productive practice and have great influence on the development of forestry.This paper analyzes the historical evolution process of the main theories of forest management,such as forestry persistent utilization,ligniculture,forestry multi-function,forest division,new forestry,close-to-nature forestry and sustainable forestry management,anticipating to be able to provide enlightenment for modern forest management practice.
