Abstract

Through the database of CNKI, this paper carries out a analytic research on 1 004 highly cited papers(the cited frequency is greater than 7)of library/information and digital library subject published in the period of 2012—2014.The research finds out that the highly cited papers have a wide distribution range but are imbalanced, being positively correlated with economic development level;in the rankings of the journals publishing the highly cited papers, 18 core journals of library/information science are in the top and their cited frequency account for 79.78%; the higher the level of funds, the more the number of the highly cited papers; the first authors are concentrated in colleges and universities.
