Observation of clinical effects of orally montelukast on bronchiolitis

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of the oral montelukast on bronchiolitis.Methods 100 cases of children patients with bronchiolitis were randomly divided into observation group(54 cases) and control group(46 cases).The observation group was treated with montelukast,and the control group was under a regular treatment.Their symptoms,signs,and pathogenetic condition were compared.Results The total efficiency of observation group is 96.3%(52/54),while the total efficiency of control group was 80.43%(37/46),there was significant difference between two groups(P0.05);observation group characteristics of cough disappeared(4.92±1.86),(3.03±1.02 disappeared asthmatic wheeze),(3.58±1.21),wet rales disappear(4.06±1.16) and other clinical symptoms were significantly lower than the control group(P0.05).Conclusion The observation group was superior to the control group in relieving asthma and shorteningthe wheezing sound and cutting down the proportion of being hospital.Oral montelukast applied in early stageis is effective,safe and convenient to treat bronchiolitis.It can be one of effective way in the treatment of bronchiolitis.
