Modernity of Tragic Idea in Shen Congwen's Writing

Abstract

Shen Congwen is a very famous tragedian in modern Chinese literary history.There are vivid modernistic characters in his tragic writing due to his sufficient experience on the conflict between rationality and sensibility for individual being,and sufficient understanding on the conflict between the finite individual and the outer world.These factors constitutes the modernistic character of his tragic writing.
