Abstract

Objective To study the clinical curative effect of Ton gqiao Biyan capsule assisting acupuncture and moxibustion in treatment of allergic rhinitis. Methods 76 cases of patients with persistent allergic rhinitis were selected, and were randomly divided into group A and group B according to the clinical sequence. Patients in group A were given nasal spray treatment with budesonide nasal spray. Patients in group B were given Tongqiao Biyan capsule assisting acupuncture and moxibustion. Both the two groups were treated for two weeks. Before and after treatment, allergic rhinitis symptoms integral decline rate was used to determine therapeutic effect, quality of life questionnaire was used to evaluate the improvement of quality of life before and after treatment, and adverse reactions in the process of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of group A and group B was 76.3% and81.6%, respectively, and there was no statistically significant difference between two groups( P 0.05). After treatment, the quality of life score of the two groups was all reduced( P 0.05), but the quality of life score of the group B was lower than that of the group A,( P 0.05). During treatment, no serious adverse reaction occurred, complication rate of the two groups was compared(21.0% vs 5.3%), and the difference was statistically significant( χ2 = 4.891, P 0.05). Conclusion The Tongqiao Biyan capsule assisting acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of allergic rhinitis has significantly curative effect, and there is less adverse reactions, patients quality of life is significantly improved, and it deserves further research and application.
