Abstract
[Objective]To investigate the efficacy of Chinese compound formula Jiukele in the prevention and treatment of acute alcoholic gastric mucosa lesion in the rats and its mechanisms.[Methods]The model was established by perfusing ethonal to the stomach of the rats.Seventy male Wistar rats were divided randomly into 2 groups:treatment group and prophylactic group, and each group subdivided into control group, model group,Jiukele high and low dose group.Control group was shared in the treatment group and prophylactic group, altogether 7 groups, ten in each.Gastric mucosal lesion index(LI),malonaldehyde(MDA)contents and mucus layers thickness were observed.Epidemital growth factor(EGF)and epidemital growth factor receptor(EGF-R)in the cells of gastric mucosa were detected with immunohistochemical method. [Results]In both treatment group and prophylactic group, gastric mucosal LI and MDA contents in Jiukele high and low dose groups were significantly lower than those in the model group(P0.01);the gastric mucus layers thickness and EGF/ EGF-R were significantly higher than those in the model group(P0.01,respectively). [Conclusion]Jiukele has effects in the prevention and treatment of acute alcoholic gastric mucosa lesion in rats. The mechanism may contribute to its reinforcement of gastric mucosa defensive function.
