Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of the Vernoniaanthelmintica willd on the immune function of mice. Methods The effect of Vernoniaanthelmintica willd on the spleen T lymphocyte proliferation stimulated by Con A, B lymphocyte proliferation stimulated by LPS and the spleen T lymphocyte secretion of IL 2 activity were assessed by TdR incorporation respectively, antibody production in the serum were assessed by ELISA,spleen B lymphocyte surface antigen (CD19) of mice were assessed by flow cytometry. Results Vernoniaanthelmintica willd inhibited spleen T, B lymphocyte proliferation and T lymphocyte secretion of IL 2 activity, the total antibody and specific antibody production to human A375 melanoma cell and surface antigen (CD19) of B lymphocyte expression on normal mouse in vivo .Conclusion Vernoniaanthelmintica willd could inhibit the humoral and cellular immunity function on normal mouse.
