Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effects and toxicities of FOLFOX4 regimen for treating patients with advanced colorectal cancer. Methods OXA 85 mg/m+2 was given intravenously 2 h,d1, CF 200 mg/m+2 iv 2 h followed by 5-Fu 400 mg/m+2 iv bolus plus 5-Fu 600 mg/m+2 iv continuous infusion 22 hours d1~2. Each cycle was in divided doses for a period up to 14 days. Results The overall response rate (CR+PR) was 47.83%, and a median time to progression was 8.3 months. The side effects were commonly seen with mild neuro-sensory toxicity, mucitis suppression of bone marrow, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting of grade I to II. Conclusion FOLFOX4 regimen is highly effective and well tolerated in treatment of advanced colorectal cancer.
