Observation on Curative Effect of Lianhua Qingwen Capsule in Treating Acute Upper Respiratory Tract Infection

Objective To observe the curative effect of Lianhua Qingwen capsule in treating acute upper respiratory tract infection.Method 218 cases of patients with acute upper respiratory tract infection were divided into experimental group and control group randomly.Patients in both groups were given fluid infusion with Ribavirin injection and routine medical treatment.Additionally,patients in the experimental group received Lianhua Qingwen capsule by oral medication.And improvements of clinical symptoms for patients in the two groups were observed.Results The clinical total effective rate in the experimental group was 93.6%,which was higher than that of 29.8% in the control group;improvements of clinical symptoms for patients in the experimental group were better than the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(p0.05 or p0.01).Conclusion Lianhua Qingwen capsule in combination with Ribavirin has a good curative effect in treating upper respiratory tract infection with few adverse reactions,which is worth promoting.
