Abstract

Objective To explore the levels of serum tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8) and interleukin-18(IL-18) in patients with actue cerebral infarction(ACI),and to study their clincial significance. Methods The levels of serum TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 and IL-18 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) in 107 patients with ACI,and 110 healthy subjects as controls. Results The levels of serum TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 and IL-18 in ACI patients were higher than those in the controls(P 0.05).In the light group, medium group and severe ACI group, their levels of TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 and IL-18 gradually increased(P0.05),and were positively correlated with the degree of clinical neurological deficit score. Conclusions The serum TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 and IL-18 levels in ACI patients will increase, and closely related with the degree of clinical neurological deficit. It will help to find out severeness of ACI.
