Application of clinical nursing pathway to patients with cataract in perioperative period

Objective:To investigate the effect of clinical nursing pathway to patients with cataract in the perioperative period.Methods:180 patients with cataract were randomly divided into pathway group and control group with 90 cases in each group,patients in the pathway group received nursing according to the clinical pathway.While the control group received traditional treatment and care.Results:Health knowledge score and nursing service satisfaction of pathway group were higher than the control group(P0.01),postoperative hospital stay,cost of hospitalization and incidence rate of complications was lower than the control group(P0.05).Conclusions:Application of clinical nursing pathway to perioperative patients with cataracta is useful for shortening the duration of hospitalization,reduce the hospital cost and complication incidence,at the same time elevat the effects of healthy education and patients’ satisfaction.
