Abstract

Objective To study the effects of perindopril combined with trimetazidine on chronic heart failure(CHF) in senile people. Methods Seventy-two senile CHF patients were randomly divided into two groups:the treatment group that were given perindorpril 4mg/d and trimetazidine 20mg tid and the control group that were give trimetazidine and balm. Both were treated for 3 months and based on the same fundamental drugs.Blood pressure(BP),stroke volume(SV),cardiac index(CI),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),and side effects were recorded in both groups. Results After 3 months' treatment, the clinical effect rate in cardiac function in the treatment group was higher than that in the control(93.8% vs 63.9%,P0.05),and the improvement in BP,SV,and CI were more obvious in the treatment groups. Conclusion Perindopril combined with trimetazidine has more effects on CHF than acting alone.
