Abstract

Objective To investigate occurrence of contamination with food-borne pathogenic bacteria in varied food in Xiamen City to provide scientific evidence for controlling and reducing food-borne diseases. Methods According to the requirements of 2013 foodborme pathogenic bacterium mannual, the foodborne pathogens were isolated and identified from the collected specimens. Results A total of 22 food-borne pathogens were isolated from 408 samples with the total detection of 5.39%.The Detection rate of Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Enterobacter sakazakii, and Vibrio parahaemolyticus, was 20%(4/20),12.5%(4/32),and 6.67%(5/75)separately.Conclusions Drinking water, infant formula foods, local characteristic foods, restaurant foods and aquatic food products are the main kinds of food contaminated by foodbornepathogens in xiamen,it is necessary to strengthen the supervision and management to reduce the incidence of food-borne diseases.
