Abstract

Objective To analyze food borne pathogens contamination of foods in Nanning City, provide scientific basis for the control and prevention of food borne diseases. Methods 10 categories 193 samples of foods collected from market were isolated, cultured and identified according to the national standard methods and Handbook of the food- borne pathogenic bacteria monitoring in Guangxi. Results 25 bacterial pathogens been detected among 193 samples of all kinds of foods, the total detection rate was 12. 95%( 25 /193). The detection rates of Bacillus cereus, staphylococcus aureus and listeria monocytogenes were 63. 64%( 14 /22),5. 75%( 25 /193) and 0. 65%( 1 /115) respectively. Conclusions There are varying degrees of food borne pathogens contamination and potential safety danger exist in foods market of Nanning city, should cause the attention of relevant departments.
