Abstract

Objective To evaluate the curative effect of Duac gel in the treatment of Acne Vulgaris. Methods 70 patients with acne vulgaris were randomly divided into treatment group and control group(35 in each). The patients from the treatment group received Duac gel,and the patients from the control group received 3% sulphur cream. The results and side effects were observed in the fourth week after treatment. Results The effective rate in the test group was 85.71% while the control group was 54.54%.There were statistical significant differences between the two groups(P0.05).The incidence rate of side effect in treatment group was lower than that in control group, and the difference was significant(P0.05).Conclusion Duac gel is effective and safe in the treatment of moderate acne vulgaris.
