The serum level of total IgE and allergen detection and analysis in 138 children with asthma in Haikou region

Objective:To explore the serum level of total IgE and the main kinds of allergens in children with asthma in Haikou region. Methods:Western blot was used to detect the kinds of allergens in 138 children with asthma and 40 healthy children,Beckman chemiluminescence apparatus DXI800 was used to detect the content of total IgE in serum. Results:The content of total IgE in serum of 40 healthy children was(116.29±91.60) μg/L,the result of allergen detection was negative;the content of total IgE in serum of 138 children with asthma was(2 126.17±1 942.69) μg/L,the positive rate of total IgE in 138 children with asthma was 73.2%,which was significantly higher than that in 40 healthy children(68.1%)(P0.01),most children were sensitized by multiple allergens.In inhalant allergen group,57 children were allergic to house dust,and 45 children were allergic to house dust mites/dust mites;in food allergen group,20 children were allergic to shrimp,followed by egg white and crab. Conclusion:The allergens of children with asthma can be understood by detecting the serum level of total IgE and allergens,searching the causes and avoiding the contact with allergens may reduce the incidence of asthma.
