Abstract

This paper analyses the aqueduct thin beam structure for South to North Water Transfer Project by using mode superposition method of response spectrum, including interaction of water and aqueduct wall , dynamic interaction of pile, soil and structure as well as simplification of bowl rubber bearings. In addition, the correct approach for seismic motion parameter is established. The conclusions are given as follows: The dynamic displacement, stress and static and dynamic synthesizing responses are satisfied for the design requirement.
