Transformation of operation mechanism as the key to the higher education system reform

The system is the carrier of the mechanism,and the mechanism is the soul of the system.This paper discusses the connotation of the higher education operation mechanism,analyzes the higher education operation mechanism of developed countries in the West,finds out the shortcomings in the higher education operation mechanism of China,and puts forward the method to construct the higher education operation mechanism under the socialist market system.The core of the method is composed of four elements: government,market,society and school.Government is responsible for macro control,market for proper adjustment,society for participation,and school for autonomy.
