The changes of objective targets of blood stasis syndrome and the effect of Xuemaining powder

Objective To investigate the changes of objective targets of blood stasis syndrome and mechanism for the effect of traditional Chinese medicine by the name of Xuemaining powder. Methods Animal models with blood stasis disease were resulted from the accumulation of pathogenic cold.60 rabbits were divided into control group, model group (with blood stasis disease), positive group (administration of Lemai powder), treatment groups which were subdivided into low dose , middle dose and high dose group. To make the bypass graft between arteries and veins and observe hemorheology and their weight of wet thrombus in vivo. Results There were obvious increases in the whole blood viscosity, blood plasma viscosity, the weight of wet thrombus, hematocrit, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), and K value of ESR in the group of rabbit models with blood stasis disease, which were significant difference from those in control group (P0.01). Conclusion Xuemaining powder can improve the parameters of hemorheology and obviously reduce the weight of wet thrombus in vivo.
