Clinical observation on 35 cases of atelectasis by fiberoptic bronchoscopy

Objective To investigate the efficacy of fiberoptic bronchoscopy treatment of various etiology caused atelectasis.Methods We examined 35 cases of atelectasis with fiberoptic bronchoscopy to identify pulmonary atelectasis etiology.We treated the primary disease and the same treat the atelectasis with fiberoptic bronchoscopy to investigate the efficacy of fiberoptic bronchoscopy treatment.Results 35 patients were definitely diagnosis by examination of fiberoptic bronchoscopy.The diseases were the tumor of 16 cases(45.71%),inflammation in 13 cases(37.14%),tuberculosis 5 cases(14.29%),foreign body in bronchus 1 case(2.86%).The clinical symptoms improved significantly through primary disease treatment and bronchoscopy treatment.Conclusion The fiberoptic bronchoscopy have important clinical value in the diagnosis and treatment of atelectasis.
