Relationship between expression of CDK1 and HPV_(16/18) infection in uterine cervical carcinogenesis

Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between expression of CDK1 and HPV16/18 infection in uterine cervical carcinogenesis.Methods Formalin-fixed,paraffin-embedded samples including 50 cases of squamous cell carcinomas,20 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia CINⅡ~Ⅲ,20 cases of CINⅠ and 20 cases of normal cervical tissues were studied.Using Polymer detection system for immuno-histological staining(PV-9000) immunohisto-chemical technique,the authors examined the expression of CDK1 in these samples.The infections of HPV type 16,18 DNA were determined by PCR.Results ①There were significant differences for CDK1 among carcinomas,CIN and normal cervices(all P0.05).CDK1 was correlated with tumor grades(all P0.05).Expression of CDK1 was not correlated with lymph node metastasis,clinical stages and age group(all P0.05).②The positive rate of HPV16/18 was of significant difference among cervical carcinomas,CIN and normal tissues(P0.05) and was not associated with age group,tumor grades,clincal stages and lymph node metastasis(all P0.05).③The expression of HPV16/18 was not associated with CDK1(rs=0.145,P0.05).Conclusion The results suggest that in tissues of CIN and cervical carcinomas,changes in CDK1 expression and HPV16/18 infection interact with each other,which can influent the progression of CIN and carcinogenesis of cervical carcinomas.Expression of CDK1 is associated with uterine cervical carcinogenesis.It possibly becomes useful indexes for the primary screening and prognosis of cervical carcinomas.
