Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between expression of CDC6 and HPV16/18 infection in uterine cervical carcinomas. Methods Expression of CDC6 was detected in 50 cases of squamous cell carcinomas,20 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia CIN Ⅱ-Ⅲ,20 cases of CIN Ⅰ and 20 cases of normal cervical tissues by immunohistochemistry.The infection of HPV16/18 was determined by PCR. Results ①The positive rate of CDC6 in cervical carcinomas was higher than that in CIN and normal cervical tissues(P0.05).Expression of CDC6 was correlated with tumor grades and lymph node metastasis(P0.05),but not with age and clinical stages(P0.05).②The positive rate of HPV16/18 had significant difference between cervical carcinomas,CIN and normal tissues(P0.05),and it was not related with tumor grades,clinical stages,age and lymph node metastasis(P0.05).③The expression of CDC6 was positively correlated with the expression of HPV16/18(rs=0.386,P0.05). Conclusion The results suggest that in CIN and cervical carcinomas CDC6 expression may be associated with HPV16/18 infection,and they interact with each other and influence the progression of CIN and carcinogenesis of cervical carcinomas.Expression of CDC6 is associated with uterine cervical carcinomas,and may be an useful index for primarily screening and predicting prognosis of cervical carcinomas.
