Abstract
Objective To explore the change of nitric oxide(NO) in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods Serum levels of NO were measured in 38 cases with acute cerebral infarction by employing nitric acid deoxidize assay and compared with 30 controls without cerebral infarction sevent. Results The serum levels of NO in acute cerebral infarctions were significantly higher than that in control groups and were closely related to the severity of acute cerebral infarction(P0.05). Conclusion NO level can be employed to evaluate the condition and be a means in theory for diagnosis and treatment of acute cerebral infarction.
