Abstract
Music Appreciation is an important part in music study. It exercises an invisible formative influence on developing students’ proper aesthetic standards and creating their noble world outlook and moral sentiment. However, for a long time many teachers can’t agree with each other on the explanation of the musical image in appreciation teaching, and they feel puzzled. This passage, from music sound itself and its development, expounds and proves the character of the ambiguity of musical image, based on which it explains the three stages in teaching music appreciation.
