On Mental Impressions of Music Appreciation and How to Improve the Ability to Appreciat e Music

Mental impression of music appreciation is the primary mental activity that the perceiver makes when he/she appreciates music. It includes two mental links--sensation and perception. Mental impression is the base of music appreciation, that is, there is no music appreciation without a sense impression. To improve college students'ability of music appreciation, we should do as follow:one is to make them grasp music knowledge; one is to ask them take part in much more music activities, especially activities of music appreciation , which can help to build up their music sense impressions.
