Abstract

The rolling tube process of three-roll single stand mill is simulated with large-scale nonlinear finite-element software ANSYS/LS-DYNA.The effects of front tension and back tension on rolling force, mandrel axial friction and metal elongation are analyzed. It provides a theoretic reference for the groove design of continuous mill and the adjustment of roll speed.
