Abstract
Objective:To study the expression of p16 and p27 in breast cancer and its significance in pathogenesis, infiltration and lymphnode matastasis.Methods:89 cases of breast cancer were detected by ABC immunohistochemical technique. Results:The positive rates of two expression products were as follows:48.3%(p16)and 57.3%(p27).p16 protein expression was correlated with lymphnode metastasis;p27 protein expression was correlated with both pathological staging and lymphnode metastasis. Conclusions:Both p16 and p27 negative expression is significantly related to the biological behavior of breast cancer.p27 protein may be more important than p16 protein in predict the prognosis of breast cancer.
