THE EXPRESSION OF P16 PROTEIN IN BREAST CARCINOMA AND CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE

Abstract

Objective:To explore expression of P16 protein in breast carcinoma and clinical significance.Methods:The expression of P16 protein were examined by means of SP immunohistochemical technique in 75 cases of breast cancer proved by pathology.Results:The expression of P16 protein is associated with tumor genesis( P 0.05),The expression of P16 protein was in negative correlation with metastatic human breast cancer( P 0.05).The expression of P16 protein was in positive correlation with survival more than 5 years.( P0.005).Conclusion:The levels of expression of P16 protein in breast cancer may be an important indicator of prognosis.
