Abstract
The treatment efficiency of rural domestic sewage by tower-type integrated constructed wetland was investigated. The results show that the removal efficiencies of COD,NH+4-N,TN and TP are 72%,82%,83% and 63% respectively. The oxygen content of sewage is increased due to the waterfall flow. The amounts of ammonifying bacteria and nitrifying bacteria in the wetland are 107 to 108 CFU/g (soil) and 104 to 105 MPN/g (soil) respectively, which improves the nitrogen removal performance of the wetland. The combined use of woody plants and mat rush in wetland keeps good treatment efficiency of the wetland during winter period.
