A Pilot Study of Xunyue's Taoism

Xunyue,a famous scholar in the dynasty of Eastenhan,was influenced not only by Confucianism but also by Taoism.He absorbed the law of nature,the thought of dialectic and the idea of practising simplicity and preserving truth of Taoism.He well combined the thought of social criticism and the absorption of Taoism and followed it out in his works,which reflected the developing trace of Taoism and its relationship to historiography.
