Abstract

Tiantaishan Taoism enjoys a relatively high status and exerts much influence on society. This is also reflected in some poems in the Tang Dynasty. Some poetic works present accounts of the religious practices of Tiantaishan Taoism, the most noticeable ones including Dao Yin Fu Qi, making and taking pills of immortality, learning and studying Confucian classics, holding fasting rituals, etc. which can provide a new perspective from which Tiantaishan Taoism is studied.
