Thoughts of Taoism in Korean Confucianism

Taoism,also known as Li Xue(theory of principles),is the mainstream of thoughts between the Song and Ming Dynasties which lasted 700 years.ZHU Xi is the synthesizer of these thoughts.Taoism in Korea is an objective truth for rightly understanding human relations and facts judgment.It is also a normative knowledge of value judgment,and a practical learning of personality training to achieve the right ways in the society.There are three dimensions of Taoism,namely,humanitarian spirit,philosophy spirit,and Yi Li(justice and principles) spirit.The seeds of Taoism exist in Korean inherent traditional thoughts.In the three dimensions of Taoism,justice spirit is in particular emphasized by Korean Taoism.Because of the difference in terms of the state size,national tradition and social condition,China's Taoism is the thought with the inclusive humanitarian spirit as its core and is originated from a remote position,while Korean Taoism is the thought with critical spirit as its mainstream and is originated from inner position.This is the character of Korean Taoism thoughts.The representatives of Korean Taoism are Zheng Meng-zhou,Zhao Guang-zhu and Zhao Xian.
