Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical significance of C-reaction protein(CRP) in the diagnosis and treatment of children acute respiratory infection. Methods Collected 180 cases of acute respiratory infection from September 2010 to September 2011.According to the bacteria and serologic test results,180 cases were divided into bacteria infection group(n=102) and mycoplasma group(n=78).Collected 72 healthy children as control group.Three groups were determined the CRP level and white blood count. Results Serum CRP level, white blood count and abnormal rates of bacteria infection group were significantly higher than that of mycoplasma group and control group, the difference was statistically significant, with P0.05.The difference between mycoplasma group and control group was not statistically significant, with P0.05.After treatment, serum CRP level, white blood count and abnormal rates of bacteria infection group were significantly higher than before, with P0.05.Conclusion Detection of serum CRP level has very important value of early diagnosis of children acute respiratory infection and dynamic testing the effects of the treatment.
