Abstract
Objective To describe and explore the level of serum lipid and glucose and risk factors in rural population of Chaohu. Methods A stratified cluster sampling technique was conducted to select a population sample of 561 aged 20 years old and over in a rural village between two areas in Chaohu.Serum lipid,HBsAg and other related factors were examined and analyzed. Results The average level of blood glucose(GLU),serum total cholesterol(TC)and triglyceride(TG)were(4.15±0.73),(4.12±0.81)and(0.59±0.36)mmol/L.The abnormal rate of blood glucose(GLU),serum total cholesterol(TC)and triglyceride(TG)were 0.8%,1.1% and 2.4%,all of which were within the normal range. It was found that age, smoking, family members, income and HBsAg might influence the level of blood glucose and serum lipid respectively. Conclusions Rational living habit and regular serum lipid and glucose tests should be conducted,at the same time not ignoring the prevention of HBV.
