Abstract
Objective:To observe the clinical effectiveness of Kaiwei Jianpi Yin(KJY) on preventive treatment of gastrointestinal side-effects of azithromycin in intravenous drip.Method: Eighty cases with Mycoplasma pneumoniae antibody(MP-Ab) positive and respiratory symptoms were randomly divided into 2 groups(n=40 each). The control group was given azithromycin by intravenous drip only(10 mg · kg-1 daily for 3-5 d),while the treatment group was given KJY(100 mL) orally 30 minutes before the intravenous drip in addition. The gaotreintenstinal side effect incidence rate in the two groups was compared.Result: Incidence rate of side-effects in the treatment group was 20%,while that in the control group was 45%.There was statistical significance(P0.05).Conclusion: KJY can reduce the incidence rate of the gastrointestinal side-effects of azithromycin in intravenous drip and it is worth to be applied clinically.
