Clinical observation of Fengliao Changweikang in prevention of children′s gastrointestinal reaction after Azithromycin administration

Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of Fengliao Changweikang in reducing gastrointestinal reaction to Azithromycin.Methods 68 children with respiratory tract infection were randomly divided into treatment group and control group(34 in each).As the group was given intravenous infusion of Azithromycin;in based on the treatment of control group,the treatment group received Fengliao changweikang granules 30min before the treatment.Adverse reaction incidence and severity degree were compared.Results The incidence rate of vomiting,abdominal pain,diarrhea in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group,the adverse reaction was lighter than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Fengliao Changweikang can reduce gastrointestinal reaction to Azithromycin effectlively.
