Abstract
Objective:To explore the influence of sertraline and clomipramine on quality of life in patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder.Method:Thirty patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder were treated by sertraline, and the other 30 patients treated by clomipramine. The efficacy and quality of life were measured with Yale-Brown obsessive-compulsive rating scale and general quality of life inventory-74(GQOLI-74)before and after 8 weeks treatment. Results:Compared with clomipramine, sertraline had similar efficacy in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder, with fewer side effects.Quality of life of patients was improved more in sertraline group than in clomipramine group(P0.05).Conclusion:Sertraline can improve the quality of life of obsessive-compulsive disorder patients.
