Abstract
Objective To compare the efficacy and side effects of sertraline and clomipramine in the treatment of patients with refractory obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD).MethodsSixty patients were randomly divided into two groups treated with sertraline and clomipramine respectly for 8 weeks. The efficacy and side effects were monitored with clinical evaluation,Yale-Brown obsessive-compulsive scale(Y-BOCS)and treatment emergant symptoms scale(TESS).ResultsBoth sertraline and clomipramine were effective to refractory OCD,and there was no significant difference between two groups. But sertraline had less side effects.ConclusionSertraline is a more suitable drug for treating with patients with refractory obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD).
