Abstract
Most of scholars have based their research of tourism in the Shang Dynasty on the recorded documents which are limitedly found. As a result,part of the Shang Dynasty in the tourism history of China can't be detailed always. As a matter of fact, we should focus on the undergound materials, and inscriptions on tortoise shells from the underground can be the core materials concerning the research of tourism in the Shang Dynasty. According to the more than 7000 pieces of inscriptions on tortoise shells with regard to tourism from the ruins of the Shang Dynasty,we may as well compile a special history about tourism in the Shang Dynasty.
