Abstract
Objective To discuss the significance of evaluating urine transferrin(UTRF),β2-microglobulin(β2-MG)and microalbuminuria(mALB)in the detection of diabetic nephropathy. Methods Immunoturbidimetry assay was applied to measure UTRF,β2-MG and mALB in 78 patients with type 2 diabetes and 43 healthy people. Results UTRF,β2-MG and mALB in patients with diabetic nephropathy were statistically different from those in healthy people(P0.01).Significant differences in UTRF and mALB were detected between healthy people and diabetic patients with normal proteinura. Conclusion Evaluation of UTRF,β2-MG and mALB is conducive to the detection of diabetic nephropathy at early stage.UTRF and mALB were more sensitive than mALB.
