Abstract
The plating process of electroless Co Fe B alloy with rare earth element cerium is researched The cathode polarization curves of the plating bath are measured by potentiostat method, the effect of the plating bath composition on the speed of plating is analyzed by weighing method, and the surface quality of the alloy coating and adhesion between the coating and matrix are synthetically investigated on the base of experiments The results showed that the addition of cerium in plating bath could remarkably improve the static potential, the cathodal overpotential, the depositing speed and the stability of plating bath, and the coating surface quality The optimum plating bath composition and operating conditions are N Fe ∶N Co =1∶40,NaHB 4 1 0 g/L,Na 2B 4O 4·10H 2O 4g/L,Na 2C 4H 4O 6·2H 2O 50g/L,Ce 1 0 g/L,temperature 35℃,pH=13,load 1 0 dm 2/L
