Abstract
The electroless Ni-Fe-B alloy plating with rare earth element lanthanum is studied.Based on the orthogonal test, the basic formula for electroless Ni-Fe-B-La alloy plating is obtained.Effects of each component of the plating bath on the deposition rate after La is added are analyzed. The stability of plating bath and the surface quality of coating are also investigated. The results show that addition of lanthanum to Ni-Fe-B plating can obviously improve the stability of plating bath and the surface quality of the coating. However, with the increasing of lanthanum concentration in alloy plating bath, the deposition rate, when reaches the maximum value, will decline.
