Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To observe the association between the ER expression and the sensitivity of TC chemotherapy in locally advanced breast cancer patients.METHODS:The expression of ER in 57 locally advanced breast cancer patients was detected by EnVision method, and the sensitivity to TC chemotherapy in ER negative(-)vs.ER positive(+)patients were evaluated.RESULTS:There were significant differences between the ER negative(-)patients and the ER positive(+)patients in the sensitivity to TC chemotherapy(86.36%(19/22)vs.60.00%(21/35))(P0.05),demonstrating the higher sensitivity of ER negative(-)breast cancer patients to TC neoadjuvant chemotherapy.CONCLUSION:ER negative(-)may serve as a sensitivity marker to TC neoadjuvant chemotherapy in locally advanced breast cancer patients.
