Abstract

Objective To investigate health condition of occupational populations on different positions in 2enterprises in Nanjing;to provide scientific basis for further health promotion for occupational populations. Methods Using stratified cluster random sampling method,2 141occupational subjects were selected from 2enterprises in Nanjing, which were divided into 3 groups based on occupational positions:executive management group, technical service group and front-line workers group. Questionnaire-based survey and physical examination were performed;SPSS software was employed for data analysis. Results Hypertension(32.8%),overweight(35.5%)and obesity(10.0%),dyslipidemia(11.1%)were top three health problems in all surveyed subjects.Incidences of hypertension, overweight and obesity, and dyslipidemia in executive management group were significant higher than those in other 2occupational groups(P0.05).There was significant difference on proper fruit intake rate amount among 3groups,the lowest rate(43.0%)was observed in front-line workers group.25.4%of all surveyed subjects had proper physical activities,no significant difference was found among 3groups.General smoking rate was 40.7%, front-line workers group ranked on top(49.8%),with significant difference among 3groups(P0.001).Conclusion Hypertension, overweight and obesity, dyslipidemia were major health problems in surveyed occupational populations.Targeted interventions should be carried out for different occupational populations on different positions.
