Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) in endometrial diseases and its clinical significance for the incidence of endometrial carcinoma and predicting prognosis. METHODS:The experimental group included 150 cases including 90 of endometrial carcinoma, 30 of edometrial hyperlpasia, 30 of atypical proliferation;the control group included 60 cases including 30 of proliferative endometrium and 30 of secretory endometrium. The expression of PCNA in these cases was deteded with the immunohistochemistry technology. RESULTS:There was a graduate increasing of the positive rate of PCNA expression in normal endometrium, endometrial hypwrplasia and atypical endometrium, and there was no statistical significance between endometrial hyperplasia and proliferative endometrium,P0.05. In endometrial carcinoma, the expression increased significantly, which is higher than benign diseases and control group prominently,P0.01.Additionally, the positive rate of PCNA increased with the increasing of clinical phase and grade of cellular differentiation. CONCLUSIONS: PCNA is closely related to the development and the progression of endometrial carcinoma. The expression of PCNA is of great value in predicting the prognosis of endometrial carcinoma.
