On the Role of the Government in Building a Harmonious Society

From the political perspective,the author of this paper tries to probe into and reflect on the connotation of a harmonious society,its basic attributes of value,and the role of the government in building a harmonious society,thereby coming to the conclusion that the government,playing the decisive part,is the most important undertaker and bearer in implementing the new administrative concept of building a harmonious society.Therefore,at present and for a long time to come,the government should attach enough importance to the following three issues to achieve the objective of building a harmonious society:control political conflicts and improve its political reorganizing ability;properly use the public authorities and try to have more legal resources;adhere to a close-to-people,practical,scientific,legal and ecological administrative strategy.
