Abstract

Objective To establish flow injection analysis for determination of volatile phenols in drinking water by using 4-amino spectrophotometry diantipyryl. Methods Drinking water samples were treated by online distillation, condensation and colorimetric determination were automatically finished by QC8500 flow injection analyzer. Results The minimum detectable concentration was 1.14 μg / L,the relative standards deviation was 1.86%-3.06%, recovery rate was 94.2%-99.5%,respectively.The same water sample was tested using two different methods, which the detection results showed that there was no no significant difference(t =0.632,P 0.05).Conclusion The method has the characteristics of simplicity, accuracy, high automation and reliability,it is suitable for large amount samples analysis.
