Application of intervention in diabetic foot

Objective To investigate the vascular changes in diabetic lower extremity arteries,and to observe the clinical effect of endovascular treatment.Methods 25 patients with diabetic foot received lower limb arterial DSA,and the results were compared with the vascular ultrasound.Thirteen cases received interventional treatment of segmental stenosis.Conventional anticoagulant therapy was given after intervention,and within the 6 months another angiography or intravascular ultrasound was done.Results Lower extremity arterial stenosis and occlusion existed in varying degrees in the diabetic foot.In 11 limbs symptoms were relieved or disappeared,ulcers healed.Two cases received limb amputation after embolectomy.Conclusion DSA examination can accurately show the location and degree of obstruction.Intervention therapy in diabetic foot has satisfactory results and can greatly reduce the morbidity of patients.
